The COVID-19 Spike protein project looks for potential drugs that could aid in treatment for those infected with SARS-CoV-2. We look at the spike protein on the surface of the coronavirus, which mediates entry of viral RNA into human cells. We aim to discover a drug that prevents the spike protein from binding to the human ACE2 receptor.
