Emmett graduated as a double major with B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Psychology from Truman State University in May 2017. He joined the Miller research group on December 2, 2015 and was the fifth ever member of the lab. He worked some on the DNA polymerase project and also was the founding member of the APOBEC3B project. After graduation, he attended graduate school working with Dr. Andrés Cisneros and earned his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of North Texas in Spring 2022. He is now attending medical school at Michigan State University.
