Ari joined the Miller lab in Spring 2016. She worked on several projects in the lab, including asphaltenes and RNA polymerase. However, she most notably proposed and carried out research on her own project about discovering potential calpain inhibitors as a possible treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. She carried the calpain research during the summer of 2018 as a full-time McNair Scholar at Truman State. In 2019, Ari transferred to Missouri State University to finish her B.S in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish. More recently, she has been working in a health care setting and is now working toward her Associate of Science in Radiography at Cox College.
