Bio
Alex graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Statistics from Truman State Univ in May 2022. She joined the Miller research lab as a freshman in Spring 2019 and worked on the Amyloid beta project. After Truman, she is planning to attend graduate school to get her Ph.D. and teach at the university level. Bill likes to roast Alex by saying “You’re a real adult, you can do what you want.” She had a difficult decision for graduate schools since she was not been rejected by a single school she applied for, that number being 11 schools. She ended up choosing to join the Chemistry PhD program at Colorado State University and joined Dr. Robert Paton’s research group working on designing biomimetic cofactors for efficient enzyme-catalyzed synthesis.
