Yu Xuan, Peter, and Ari preparing to leave Kirksville for the MERCURY meeting

Yu Xuan joined the Miller research lab in Spring 2017. She immediately joined the Zika virus project, but eventually proposed her own research project investigating the dynamics of troponin proteins and their relation to heart disease. Yu Xuan did a full-time summer research experience as a TruScholar in the summer of 2018, including attending and presenting at the MERCURY Conference on undergraduate computational chemistry. Yu Xuan then transferred from Truman State to the University of California-San Diego and completed her B.S. in Chemistry in 2020.
